About Us

Amelia's Classic Cars was established in 2013, by us, Gavin and Mandy, after looking for a wedding car for our own wedding.   Looking at the magnificent classic vehicles available it fuelled our passion and desire to own a classic vehicle and be able to share it with other like minded people.

Many months were spent looking for the right vehicles. Amelia was found locally quite by chance, and we fell instantly in love with her! She was joined shortly after by Sophie, an Armstrong Siddeley Star Sapphire, who we found in Nottingham. Spring 2015 saw another addition to the fleet, a very special Daimler DS420 Limousine who once belonged to Princess Margaret.

As a child, Mandy would often be found passing her father the tools he needed whilst working on the many cars he owned over the years. After admiring classic vehicles from a distance for most of her life, she now has the chance of a liftetime to own one. Mandy runs Frocks & Frills Wedding Studio and ALM Secretarial Services, and is in charge of the admin side of the business. If you would prefer a female chauffeur Mandy is happy to drive you to your wedding in Sophie.

As a teenager, and much to his parents' annoyance, Gavin kept coming home with many different cars usually in varying states of repair. Gavin joined the Navy, initially as a Weapons Engineer and went on to spend the next 20 years flying in helicopters! Since leaving the Navy he has been able to rekindle his passion for all things automotive and is responsible for the upkeep of both cars and is the main chauffeur.

We believe in providing an individual, tailored service to suit your requirements. We can provide ribbons and flowers to compliment your chosen colour scheme. We are flexible and approachable to how you want your special day to be and will only do one wedding per day in order for you to have the time required to sit back, relax and enjoy.

We were lucky enough to be voted through

to the Cornish Brides Awards Finals for two years

running, in 2014 and 2015.
